FILM

The invitation

The Invitation sheds light on autoimmune diseases, which affect 75% of women among the one in five Americans diagnosed. This film invites those impacted to take control and thrive.

Through interviews with four women, it explores their journeys from diagnosis to recovery, revealing challenges like misdiagnoses, discouraging medical messaging, and a lack of holistic care.

Black Cases

In Black Cases we meet Antoine Flowers, a 17-year-old African American teen. Setoff in the “Now I lay me” prayer said by many children, his journey bespeaks of the night his innocence was lost as he sort to defend his mother during a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.

Even deeper, his narrative addresses the environmental and societal factors that precipitated this event in coming to be. Viewers are left to grapple with many questions, the main one being was it anger or trauma at play that night?
